Goodbye 2009! Hello 2010!!!

2009 has been an eventful year for my family and I and I am sure it held it's own trials and tribulations, surprises and fond memories for each and every one of you.

It is also the end of the decade, and I can't help remembering the way the world looked forward, warily, as we came closer to the end of 1999, towards the Y2K ... That was a tempest in a teapot.  A lot of us had prepared for catastrophe and we all breathed a collective sigh of relief as the New Year came and passed, uneventfully, in Australia.  I guess we will all start dreading the fast approaching year 2012 (the end of the Mayan Calendar ;-)

I hope that this year and this decade has been good to you and yours, even in the trying circumstances that many of us have experienced, and that we can all find are own reasons to be grateful and thankful for our many blessings.

Anyone making New Years resolutions?  I hope that any of you making them will have the strength and resolve to carry them through.  Though not making "resolutions" pers se, I have reflected on the passing year, measured my performance to my previous goals, tried to learn from both my successes and my failures, and set new goals for the coming year and created a plan to try an attain them and to help keep me on track. 

Are you looking forward to the New Year and the New Decade with Optimism that we have turned the corner on most of the negativity and volatility of the last couple of years?  I sense that optimism out there among people, and perhaps that is what we need to really start to turn things around.  I see a groundswell forming regarding Saving Our Planet, and will be continuing to spread the message that we can all make "little" changes and better choices in our everyday lives that collectively can make a huge difference in the welfare of our Planet.
