THE TREASURE OF TIME

By
Real Estate Agent with Door County Realty, Inc.

John Tuccillo was the chief economists for the National Association of REALTORS for 12 years.  John retired a few years ago.  I love John Tuccillo and always enjoyed reading his economic forecasts.  I like reading his comments and predictions because they are easy to follow and simply written.

At the onset of the internet, I remember John Tuccillo saying that the only way a REALTOR can succeed in the future is to save the consumer "Time and Stress".  While I am not a veracious reader, I work diligently to stay current in the world of real estate.  John was one of the few people who predicted how important time would become.  Now, everyone quotes about the lack of time, the use of time, the importance of time, and most ads on television reflect saving the consumer time and money.

Since we are beginning 2010, I thought you might enjoy "THE TREASURE OF TIME" whose author is unknown.  My health is the most important thing to me.  If I don't have that, I have nothing else.  Another important part of my life is time.  Time is what I need the most of and have the least of and once I give away, I can never get it back.  I work to be protective of my time; often times in this crazy business this is difficult.

I hope "THE TREASURE OF TIME" is useful to you.  Both Bob and I wish you a healthy and prosperous New Year.  When you know of anyone who would like to buy or sell Door County real estate, please give me a call.  I will follow through and provide the Best in Personal Service and Results With Integrity.  Thank you in advance.  Enthusiastically, I remain...............

Your Door County REALTOR,

                          (for life)

THE TREASURE OF TIME

Imagine there is a bank that credits your account each morning with $86,400.

It carries over no balance from day to day.

Every evening deletes whatever part of the balance you failed to use during the day.

What would you do?

Draw out every cent, everyday, of course!

Each of us has such a bank.  It's name is TIME.

Every morning it credits you with 86,400 seconds.

Every night it writes off, as lost, whatever you have failed to invest wisely.

It carries over no balance.

It allows no overdraft.

Each day it opens a new account for you.

If you fail to use the day's deposits, the loss is yours.

There is no going back.  There is no drawing against "tomorrow".

You must live in the present on today's deposits.

Invest it so as to get from it the utmost in health, happiness and success!

The clock is running.  Make the most of today.

To realize the value of ONE YEAR, ask a student who failed one grade.

To realize the value of ONE MONTH, ask a mother who gave birth to a pre-mature baby.

To realize the value of ONE WEEK, ask the editor of a weekly newspaper.

To realize the value of ONE DAY, ask a daily wage laborer with kids to feed.

To realize the value of ONE HOUR, ask the lovers who are waiting to meet.

To realize the value of ONE MINUTE, ask a person who missed the train.

To realize the value of ONE SECOND, ask a person who just avoided an accident.

To realize the value of ONE MILLI-SECOND, ask the person who won a silver medal in the Olympics.

Treasure every moment you have!  And treasure it more because you shared it with someone special, special enough to spend your time.

And remember that time waits for no one.

Yesterday is history.

Tomorrow is a mystery.

Today is your gift.

That's why it's call the treasure!
