We were caught red handed while staging these homes in the Portland, Oregon area

We love to use red as an accent color while staging ... it has the ability to draw the buyer's eye around a room, causing it to stop and then move on to the next spot we want to feature.  Sometimes we use red to emphasize a focal point, sometimes to highlight an architectural feature, and sometimes just to add interest to an otherwise "blah" type of space.  Give potential buyers something to look at ... a well-presented home.

Whenever we use red in our staging, the homes sell quickly!  There must be something to this theory .... here are 4 homes where we used red as an accent color ...

Maureen, the staging is beautiful. I love to use red.  With Internet sales increasing, it is important that your photos pop with color.  Congratulations on a job well done!

I love to use red as an accent!  It draws attention better than any color I know.  Most of the houses that have sold very quickly have had red sprinkled throughout.  Your pictures are fabulous Maureen - what a talented lady you are!

Hi Birgit ~ I try to frame the picture so that it engages a buyer's interest ... sometimes that means an overhead angled shot like the first one above.  But showing the home's architectural features is always the main goal ... buyers don't want to see photos of furnishings, even if they're lovely.  Some of the photos above were taken with my wide angle Kodak V705 and some with my new 10-22mm ultra-wide angle Canon lens.
