The Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation has reported that the housing starts fell in the GTA by 2,514. Most of this is attributed to fewer apartments being built. This drop follows a three month period of increases.
Singles, row housing and semi`s rose and there was an increased demand for low rise housing. According to CMHC the area`s where housing construction was the highest were Brampton and Vaughan. These stats were extracted from a report on the CMHC site.
