Hi Russ---what a wonderful photo!! I am originally from Michigan and my father was a horticulturist so he taught me that the trees in Michigan are as varied as you say....go to my last post and see if you can guess where that photo is from----

Thanks for the Michigan "trivia" that is not so trivial!!!(at least to me)

Nice Wake Up for the 2010 start!  I  Taught, Researched, Extension'ed and Administered at Michigan State U. from 1964-86 and knew about the trees but not the other "trivia".  Sidebar:  During a Church League basketball in circa 1969-70, we watched in awe as this 10 year old kid from Lansing seemed to throw the ball in the hoop from all around the key with almost unfailing accuracy.  My son and the other 10 year olds preferred lay-ups and shooting from around the free-throw line, so the contrast was unbelievable.  As Ervin became famous, we couldn't help but think that we had witnessed the coming of "MAGIC", for free in that church gym. Never heard of the nickname "June Bug".

LIFE is great and the MEMORIES make it that way!  Cheers from Jim-In-Paradise
