HELPFULHANNAH
Gary,
I have given up on making New Years resolutions, no sense in making something that I can't stick with. LOL
Hi Gary, I always come to your blog for inspiration and today is no different! Happy New Year and best wishes for a wonderful 2010!
Hi Gary, I never could understand why everyone makes those silly resolutions. I like to work hard every day and see how well it turns out. I'm not much of a planner. No big goals...I just lump along! LOL
Great point Gary, I have often wondered that myself... I guess it's just a major stepping stone measured by the months that go by so fast! It seems I make goals every week. You're right on with the 21 days... Breaking the good habits, however, happen much more quickly! Happy New Year!
Gary, I had the same thoughts abouts Y2K and am calling this New Year Y2K.1. Beautiful song, I was expecting something totally different. I've made many random resolutions on various dates over the years and they're the ones that seem to have held. Thanks and Happy New Year!
Gary, am just getting back to check out what's been happening on AR and headed here to visit you first... I'm glad I did. We were talking about the Y@K scare last night too. Time does keep marching on.
Here's to a 2010 filled with every wish fulfilled for you!
I do tend to look at this first day of the year as an opportunity to start again -- or try again -- in some areas of my life. Kind of offers a refreshed feeling -- some sort of renewal. And realizing that another year has passed, it is also a reminder to live in the moment, as you say. Thanks for another great post!
I am with you, Gary. When you make resolutions just because everyone else is, you will probably nor be successful. I think when you realize you want to make a change, and need to make a change, is the best time to commit to your plan and see it through.
I don't make resolutions, but I have things I want to do, and being the stubborn one, I will get them done. I try to look at what wil be and not what has been.
Gary - New Years resolutions are seductive - full of promise, like a new seed catalog. Then the deer eat your garden.
Gary, I read this in March 2011 - Make the most of each moment. Very applicable Great post!
Sondra: VERY COOL you coming back to this one.
