Honolulu statistics look good for the first quarter of 2007

The Honolulu Board of Realtors® reports* that "During the first quarter, the number of sales declined from last year and the median prices were stable. The total dollar volume of sales was $1.187 billion in the first quarter, a decrease of $153 million, or 11.4 percent, from the $1.340 billion in sales achieved in the same quarter last year." The HBR also reported that while the median price of single family homes on Oahu decreased 0.8% from $625,000 to $620,000 from the first quarter of 2006 to the first quarter of 2007, the median price of condos actually increased 3.6% from $309,000 to $320,000 in the same period.
