Do you like to see text links or Thumbnail pic links before you click?

By
Real Estate Agent with https://teamcoker.robertpaul.com 9023635

In an effort to make my free real estate directory more user friendly, we are considering changing the text only links to thumbnail pics of each site we link to. Do you like having just a text link or do you prefer to see a thumbnail of the site you are being directed to as part of the link?

I do this for free to agents, have been for ten years. If you aren't linked, we just haven't found you yet - we do still have to sell real estate you know...

I just added the thumbnails to the Woodbridge VApage of REindex.com. I haven't changed my own town, Falmouth MA, page yet.

It doesn't appear to affect the load speed. What do you think?

I don't really have a preference as long as the link takes me where I want to go.

I think text links are better ,but I've been experimenting as well.

I'm working on a text link with a mouse over that displays a small

pict of what you get if you click . I will report my findings ASAP!

I think links are better too because my husband's laptop sometimes doesn't open links and he can at least copy and paste them into his brower.

I prefer text links because it usually has more information. A picture could lead to anything.

Thanx for the responses, although I' getting the impression that you didn't look at the two pages I linked to above.

The pics I am referring to are small pictures of the site that included in the link text (like on Woodbridge VA ) vs just text links ( like on Falmouth MA )

Thanx again, for the responses

Heath  I think there is a question as to whether or not the search engines read a pic link - I don't use them in Woodbridge VA  :)

Hi Karen, the search engines only read the code behind the pic. I was more wondering which presentation style the eyes of people prefer.

Ed, I looked at your site and have linked to you from the towns your listings are in: Bolivia, Leland, and Wilmington NC. Thank you for the note.
