Dan Miller's blog is a "short but sweet" reminder of the importance of buyers having home inspections!  It's the things that laymen don't notice that could be the biggest problems in the house ... inspectors are trained to be alert for them.

Via Dan Miller (Keller Williams Realty, Madison, Wisconsin):

We see all kinds of things during home inspections. This photo from a client's recent inspection has quickly become an all-time favorite.

Getting your new home inspected by a quality home inspector is one of the smartest things you can do as a home buyer. The inspection protects you, in the event that your inspector finds a defect that could significantly impact the value or the safety of your new home. The inspection also provides a great educational opportunity to learn about home maintenance and home safety from a licensed pro who has seen thousands of homes up close.

Brian Paull from Premier Inspection and Consulting has a great web site that among other things outlines the home inspection process.

We've also listed a number of useful links on our inspection and testing resource page, under buying real estate at DaneCountyMarket.com.

Have a great day,

This year I had 1 Buyer that refused an inspection and guess what?  He had problems after the transaction that would have been found by an inspection.  Worth every penny!!!

Sue,

Thanks for reblogging this one.  I am also a firm believer and recommend to all my clients (whether the home is old or new) to get a home inspection.

If you are in not good state and have got no cash to go out from that point, you will need to take the loan. Just because that should aid you unquestionably. I take college loan every time I need and feel myself OK because of this.
