I have been keeping my eye on the weather across the nation. I see that many states have areas that are covered in snow. We are hearing of Realtors in other parts of the country that can't show houses because they can't get out of their homes. Lockboxes on homes for sale are full of ice and are frozen shut. Some real estate markets are slow because buyers are not out looking, due to the inclement weather.
Here in Brevard County we woke up to 40 degree weather this morning. We brought in our potted plants last night and covered the outside plants. The temperature dropped into the 30's. The high today will be 53 degrees. Tonight, it's supposed to drop to 32 degrees with a freeze advisory. With the wind chill it will feel like 24 degrees. This week will bring night time temperatures in the 30's. For some of us here, that's cold.
The beaches remind us of the cold weather. It looks like a winter sky and the waves have washed up a great deal of seaweed.
I'm on my way out for the day with my daughters, who are laughing at me because I have 5 undershirts on, one sweater and a jacket. They say that I remind them of the Pillsbury Dough Boy. But, I know that I will be warm and toasty.
Tonight before you go to bed, be sure to throw that extra blanket on the bed, grab that extra sweater and bundle up. And, don't forget to bring your pets in and make sure they are warm.
