Such a timeless shot Larry! I bet it's frozen now! We are pretty cold here in the north Georgia mountains! Stay warm!!
Sharon - We don't have slippery, just cold. Our cold weather is usually gone by march 1st, adn the nthe grass turns green, and the golfer can plan their weekly games.
Karin - I'm sure it's frozen, and I wish I had a picture of it with ice everywhere.
Oddly enough, this photo could have been taken in my area (without the frozen winter, though!).
So many of the old mansions around here had their own pump house. This is a great shot Larry and to see it still in working condition.
Larry..I hear you it is cold here too..with winds 50 miles an hour ..nice relaxing photo..thanks
HELPFULHANNAH
Mike - This picture was taken in a state park, I know some of the old homes still have these mills, but this is not one of them.
Hannah - I can do without the 50 mph winds.
Great foto... thank you for the post. I like the ice coming off the wheel..
Winter is already too long this year in Nashville. Ok, maybe just too cold. :)
The cold seems to be creeping down this way. Our temperatures are supposed to be in the 20's at night all this week. Brrrrrrrrrr......
Way too cold even for this long-time New Englander
I like the combination of weathered wood with wildflowers, simple and beautiful.
That photo does not make me feel warmer. I may need to think about moving to some place warmer if this global warming does not stop:)
Personally, I am dreaming of hot beaches and cool breezes. This 20 degrees with windchill feels like 5 is for the Eskimos!
Larry,
Was this taken near Gatlinburg? I believeI have seen this.
mandy - Cooooold
Vanessa - It's still cooold.
Mike - yes. It's coooooold
Howdy and Evenen Larry
I sure do like visiten places like that one, the photo makes me home sick.
If-en ya would like, I'd be glad to send ya the snow we have here. lol
Dale - That's pretty funny. I think the snow is coming tomorrow. I'm dreading it alreay.
Beautiful picture, I just love the old country pictures it reminds me of when I was a child.
Diane - Thanks for the compliment. I wish I had a picture of this mill from today, I suspect that it's covered in ice.
