Yankee Air Coming South

By

Plumbing RepairsWinter is here at least for a week.  Plenty of Yankee air coming to the Northshore area of St. Tammany Parish.  residents living in Slidell, Pearl River and Lacombe need to make sure they have their external pipes are well wrapped well.  If not you may be a plumbers best friend.  Remember the rule of thumb is four hours at 28 degrees or less if colder for pipes to burst.   Winter

As of right now we have a 60% chance of rain Thursday with freezing temperature possible.  I have questions for my fellow active rainers up north.  If this happens what do you do with this stuff?

How do you drive on it?

How do you make a snowman?

How do you get rid of it?  I need answers people, HELP

John, Northerners can't answer your questions....they don't even notice snow! Speaking as an experienced Southerner I can tell you that when it snows down South:

DON'T drive in it! Stay home! Nobody else knows how to drive in it either and you can get yourself killed in slo mo!

Snowmen down south are actually much shorter than up north...by about 5 feet. Picture a snow head the size of a jawbreaker and you'll get the idea.

Get rid of it? Why worry about that? Stay in with the family and by the time the sun comes out in the morning it'll be gone!

Hi John:

Answers are as follows:

1.  Drive Very Slowly...(or don't drive at all.)

2.  Make a snowball and keep rolling it and adding to it.

3.  Shovel...Shovel...and more shoveling!  :)

John - I am afraid I can't help with answers but BUNDLE up!  It's VERY cold here as well and there is a hint of snow possibly on Thursday.  In all seriousness?  If you do get freezing rain or snow - STAY IN!  I know here we are not prepared for it and the roads are just horrible!
