Women's Council of REALTORS®Several years ago I was invited by a college to attend a luncheon meeting. I didn't know exactly what to expect but was pleasantly surprised by the face to face meeting with some really wonderful women and even some men.  I have had the honor of belonging to the Women's Council of REALTORS® of Springfield Missouri Chapter.  I have had the privlidge of being a member ever since. I served on the board in 2009 and I am very honored at being selected President Elect for 2010. 

I can't think of another organization where fellow REALTORS® come together once a month to learn, gain knowledge about their community, city and state and sit together not as competitors but as friends building relationships.  Women's Council of REALTORS® are making a difference in our local community, state and National levels.  The friendships that I have gained through this organization have been phenomenal!

In addition to friendships I have also had the opportunity get to know several people in higher places through different speakers.  The topics range from a speaker on smart phones that was very helpful, for all of us that are not techie - to end the year we did something extremely fun.  We had a local elementary school come in and do a Christmas musical!  It was just wonderful! 

If you haven't had a chance or been invited to joined your local Women's Council of REALTORS® yet, I want to encourage you to do it now.  I receive a lot of referrals by developing relationships with local, state and national council members.  It certainly makes a deal go much smoother if you know the agent on the other end!   It's a great way to do business in 2010!
