Charlotte NC Neighborhoods - Myers Park

Charlotte NC Myers ParkThere is no better introduction to Charlotte NC than a tour through historic Myers Park, via Queens Road.  Here some of the city’s grandest homes are framed by a canopy of massive, old willow oaks. Myers Park Charlotte NC emerged from a large cotton farm in 1911, when landscape architect John Nolen was hired to create a “garden suburb.”  John Nolen & others, including Earle Sumner Draper, used the winding paths, following the natural landscape to create, what many think is now Charlotte's most beautiful community.  Most of the historic homes in Myers Park reflect the Classic style from traditional brick Georgians to English Tudor.

Hi Sharon!  Thanks so much--this is one of my absolute favorite places in Charlotte!  I just love it here and can't say enough wonderful things about Myers Park in Charlotte NC!

Hi Liz:  Thanks!  There's a great story about this house:  I was asked to list and sell this house after 2 years of several agents not being able to sell it.  I could not understand why they had so much trouble but, I went in as though it were a brand new listing--it was vacant and the seller would not do any staging.  So I had my cleaning crew clean the inside, the yard crew fluff up the exterior and put a little stereo playing classical music inside (for an historic home, it just had to be classical)!  Turned on the lights for showings and voila!  TWO offers in two weeks!  Sold and closed in just over a month!!  My sellers were shocked!!  So, like you, I love that house too!!  LOL

As for the background--nothing's changed--I did start using blue font more lately.  Could that be it?

Have a wonderful week...

Hi Everyone!  Thank you so much for your comments on Myers Park Charlotte NC !  I love this neighborhood as it represents such interesting history of this city that I love so much!  The homes here are simply spectacular and the variety of architecture is quite appealing to passersby.  If you ever visit Charlotte and let me give you a tour, this is one of the first places we'll go!  It's especially beautiful in the spring when all of the oaks are in bloom--they seem to just envelope you as you go through.

Thanks again and Happy New Year to you all!
