2009 has ended and it is interesting to look at what happens on the market. Fountain Beach Resort in the heart of Daytona Beach, just steps to the Pier, Boardwalk, Main Street, and all other places and events of the Beachside, is a 149-room hotel converted to condo-hotel 10 years ago, is offering 11 units for sale.
Fountain Beach Resort was holding the prices better than many other condo-hotels and until relatively recently there were no prices lower than $50K, but few were looking and even fewer buying at these prices, and the market has taken a toll.
It is difficult to believe that there are prices for under $40K, like it was in 2004 just before the market went crazy and the prices jumped to over $100K in less than a year.
What an interesting market.
And how similar to 2004.
Will it shoot again? When?
Tis is a million dollar question. We all know that it will. Nobody knows exactly when.
May be any minute now...
