Tom, I hope people will take advantage of the tax credits that are offered right now before they go away! Utah also offered a grant to buyers who bought a newly constructed home and it went over very wellby bringing in buyers who used the grant to help with down payment or closing costs. The best to you!

Tom - I think it's useful to continue to remind people about this, as well as to inform them on how it actually works. I know some folks mistakenly think they will jsut get $8000.

AMEN!  I think people should contract soon. Some areas are running low on inventory.  I just had a close take 5 months from contract to close because it was a short sale.  People who qualify have to be in contract by April 30 and close by June 30.  Lending takes time these days also :)

Now that the move-up, or existing, home buyer is also included in the tax break, this winter and early spring seems to be an opportune time to purchase a new home. Happy New Year!
