New Hampspshire Energy Incentive Series Part Four of Five, back in 2002 New Hampshire adopted a mandatory Statewide building code, based on the 2000 IECC.SB 81 which was enacted in July of 2007, and New Hampshire upgraded the Energy Code to the 2006 IECC. And its up to the local building official, to enforce the energy requirements.
The local Towns and Cities New Hampshire Government Officials may adopt different requirements only if their requirements are more stringent than the State Code. The New Hampshire Public Utilites Commission has the rulemaking authority to chane the standards within the code.

Eligible Efficiency Technologies:Comprehensive Measures/Whole Building
Applicable Sectors: Residential, Commercial
Residential Code: The New Hampshire Energy Code is a State Code that references the 2006 IECC amended to climate Zone 6, mandatory Statewide, REScheck can be used to comply.
Commercial Code: The New Hampshire Energy Code is State Code that references the 2006 IECC amended to Climate Zone 6, mandatory Statewide, COMcheck can be used to comply.
Code Change Cycle: Theres no set schedule. Most recent update was effective on 17 August 2007.
New Hampshire Energy Incentive Series Part Four of Five, there are many different ways to enhance your energy self sufficiency. No matter which way the sun is harnessed, there is an environmental benefit. But the economic benefits can very considerably, so its sure important to examine which ones pay for themselves the quickest in terms of energy cost savings.
