I am so excited that my business associate and friend, Misty Lackie of GoSmart Solutions has launched this seriously powerful plug-in for Wordpress.  You may be familiar with Misty's Classified Flyer product that syndicates your listings across the worldwide web.

With WordPress being the choice for many real estate bloggers, RealShout has unveiled a new plugin for the publishing platform that will enable real estate professionals to have searchable local listings on their blog or website.

The free searchable listing Real Estate Wordpress plugin can be installed on any WordPress template and functional the same day. Pulling data from the Google Base API, the plugin provides ample data to populate any real estate site. Customization capabilities include colors, location (cities), distance, bedrooms, bath, and price. The plugin enables listings to display in a list with thumbnail pictures, which can be clicked on to view more details, photos, a Google Map, and more.

Setting it apart from many IDX services, the RealShout plugin does not place listings in an iframe, thus allowing them to be indexed by search engines.

Hi - have anyone been able to actually plug this into your Wordpress site? I asked my developer to try this out and he has run into a roadblock - meaning, he couldn't install the plugin as it asked him for an "access key." He reached out to Real Shout support and it has been a days now and no word back. I tried to contact Real Shout via their Contact Us form on their site multiple times and no word either. I even emailed their CEO Misty via Active Rain and she hasn't responded either!! There is no number of any kind on their sitw so no way to call anybody.. Does this company exist?

Hello Kamila,

I did receive your email through ActiveRain and replied to you that same day.  The plugin works and we have installed it on many sites.  Your developer will need to retrieve the license key by signing up here http://www.realshout.com/real-estate-plugin-download.php.  The email he receives after signing up will have the license key in it. The plug-in download also has detailed setup instructions. If he has trouble, he can contact RealShout support from here http://www.realshout.com/contact-realshout.php.  Please make sure he places a valid email address in the RealShout support form, otherwise it will be rejected and not send us the email.  If your developer needs help installing it, our support can do so for a minimal installation fee.

Dave - you are not required to pay for installation to get a key.  You should receive a license key via email after you register.  The key can only be used on 1 site (domain).

Misty seems to be rep for the vendor.  It looks like the vendor for this WP plugin is offering it at $85 for user multiple sites.  Is that correct?  Does that not for free plugin allow user to have it on multiple WP sites?  If purchased, does that appear without vendor or other commercials or banner ads?

Harrison - It is not compatible with multi-user Wordpress sites (WPMU). It is compatible with single sites. The $85 is only for if you need installation and setup support and yes does exclude the banner ads.

WOW WOW WOW!     Awesome tip!   I just uploaded the Plugin to my client's website and it's such an amazing alternative to other Pay-For plugins.  I'm sure that the paid-for version of Realshout is well worth the money especially if an agent doesn't have coding/editing/Wordpress knowlege. 

 

I'm going to look into the custom header/pages code now so the organic Google ranking is optimized.   If you want to check out the progress you can go to www.SonoranHomeLife.com.
