SENIORS ELIGIBLE FOR FREE HOME SAFETY INSPECTION
Sheriff's Department Unit Will Install Safety Devices, Equipment

Burlington County Sheriff Jean E. Stanfield has announced that her department's Senior Services Unit can provide additional free home security surveys for residents 60 and older at no cost through the Senior Home Security Program.

"Our Senior Home Security Program has responded to the needs of more than 6,750 seniors in Burlington County since 1991,'' Stanfield said. "We have the resources to provide evaluations, and install safety features for any senior in the county who requests them for free.''

Senior homeowners can qualify to have free door locks, Charlie bars for sliding glass doors, door viewers, special lighting devices and other safety adjustments made to their homes. Fire safety will also be addressed.
