Sally, are you going to be able to get some pictures of these gorgeous yachts as they arrive?  With the Hawaii backdrop they should be beautiful.

Great, Thanks Sally.  One of the women in my office is a host on this side, she is taking care of 3 of the yacht crews while they are in town.  She is also an owner/member of the yacht club they are docked at.  She is trying to find room on one of the boats so I can get out to the peninsula and take some pictures.  Waiting for an answer.  Could get interesting, I get VERY sea-sick.

OK...I just asked if we could get photos over on Randy's post...and here I see we DO have a few...I LOVE sailing! If you have every been-at the-helm of a racing-yacht, I want to know about it. ...If you have ever navigated by the stars in a plain old sail boat, that's one sure way to know you will be a big success in  real estate...

janeAnne,

I love being out on the open water also, I just get so horribly sea-sick sometimes.  I have been using elastic acu-pressure wrist bands, they seem to be working.  But that is one awful feeling.

Irina,

Me too, they are on view in the marinas all over Long Beach right now if you want to pop down here.

Gary,

The Freedom Writers say:

We began writing anonymous journal entries about the adversities that we faced in our every day lives. We wrote about gangs, immigration, drugs, violence, abuse, death, anorexia, dyslexia, teenage love, weight issues, divorce, suicide, and all the other issues we never had the chance to express before. We discovered that writing is a powerful form of self expression that could help us deal with our past and move forward.

Kinda sounds like blogging, huh?  Writing is a powerful tool and can have far reaching impact.  A good reason to be careful what you write.  Erin Gruwell was an amazing teacher and has become an incredible advocate.

Carole,  I am not a sailor but I am excited about this race and can't wait to see the boats.

Ines,  It seemed to make sense to cover the beginning and the finish line, if we could.

Randy,  I can't wait to see those pix

David,  Thank you.

Jennifer,  It's summer in So Cal, all we have is sunshine now.   Where have you been?  Did you make it to the NY party?  Got pix?
