Obviously, when you’re ready to show your home to potential buyers, you will want it to look its best. What’s the fastest and easiest way to do that? Let in the light!
By ensuring your home is well lit, you can make every room look more appealing.
Natural light is ideal because it has the added effect of making everything seem warmer and bigger. So, when showing your home do, make sure all the curtains and blinds are open.
Unless they’re critical to the décor, reposition things that are obstructing the windows. These may include ornaments, plants or even furniture.
Look for burnt out lights get them replaced. During a viewing or open house, make sure all the main lights are turned on.
If there are any dark corners or nooks in your home, add an attractive lamp. In key areas such as the kitchen, consider installing higher wattage bulbs. Just don’t overdo it. Lights should be bright and pleasing, not blinding! Giving each room the “light” touch will make your home show better. It will make it more comfortable to live in, too.

This is the chaepest way to make the home look bright. Turn on all the lights! Just don't forget to turn them off when leaving so the sellers don't get a huge electric bill.
