The Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration will kick off with a parade beginning at 10:00 a.m. departing from Oviedo High School. The parade will come down West Broadway, through the center of Oviedo, travel down East Broadway and conclude at Round Lake Park where a family fun day will begin.
Planned events at Round Lake Park include an opening ceremony as soon as the parade ends and entertainment to consist of music, dance performers, live choirs, crafts, live DJ, and a jazz band.? The student winners of the art/essay contest will also be recognized, as well as community service projects.? There will be free food while supplies last, and there will be additional food vendors where attendees can purchase food from if they so choose.? The festivities are scheduled to conclude at 3:30 p.m.
