I was just reading the newpaper this morning, and had to make a comment about it.  In the article, they stated that pending home sales were way down which suggested that there may be  another drop in the real estate market.

Now this kind of article really affects the thoughts of all of our clients who are looking to purchase homes.  First of all, they wont believe us when we tell them that the only reason there is a dip in pending sales is because there has been no inventory to sell, and that prices are actually beginning to rise in certain markets, and they will continue to believe that they should low ball all of the foreclosures that they are interested in.  Which means they have have to submit and loose out on a lot of properties until they realize that we are right.

I wish that clients would learn to trust us and not believe what they read in the papers or what they see in the news, because that information is usually wrong.  By the time the news media gets ahold of correct information, it is way too late for our clients to profit in the market at all.

fighting the media seems like a losing battle most of the time..  If Katie Couric says it, they believe it.
