Community Involvement from Real Estate Professionals in Crescent City California

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Lucky Star Realty

Community involvement from real estate professionals is really important for our careers as real estate agents in Crescent City, Arcata, Eureka, Fortuna, McKinleyville...or any city.  Being involved in a community oriented event shows that you, as the real estate professional, really care enough about your community and society to take time out of your busy real estate work day, and go out of your way to do something positive, to do something meaningful, for others in your community.

Last weekend, Lucky Star Realty, the entire office including our agents, broker and secretary where out there supporting and sponsoring the Third Annual Crescent City Skateboard Competition.  Why would a real estate company even consider being involved, let alone volunteer the entire staff and office into such an out of the ordinary event?  Why not sponsor something more traditional and logical, like a gulf event, or quilting event?  Well, volunteering does not always have to be boring, it can be fun and something that you enjoy doing.  I, Thavisak Lucky Syphanthong, the broker for Lucky Star Realty, have been skating boarding since high school and the rest of the Lucky Star Realty crew also skateboard.  Nathon Bones has been skateboarding for at least 10 years and enjoys it as a hobby, Wes White has been skateboarding for a long time too.  Wes even helped out with Tiffany's Garden for Children when they supported and sponsored events to build the Arcata Skatepark, which opened in 1997.  Now, Lucky Star Realty is in the process of helping the children and other community volunteers in building the Eureka Skatepark as well.

Volunteering and community involvement is very important for our communities whether they be in Del Norte county, Humboldt county, or any other county in California and beyond.  It brings members of the community together, working together, and setting good examples for our children for the future.  So get involved in your community, no matter who you are, whether you are a real estate professional, or a home buyer or home seller, or just would like to be involved.  Go out there and get your hands dirty!  Have fun too!
