Wow...I have not read this yet but will read it today. This months Realtor Magazine has an 8 page code of ethics. I have been in business 40 years and have been sued one time but the court threw it out--it really had nothing to do with me or my company. And, I THINK I don't have any unhappy customers out there. My code of ethics has always been: communicate everything with honesty-be completely transparent and apply the Golden Rule. That has kept me out of trouble and in favor with my clients. I will read these 8 pages and I am sure they are valuable. But, my way still works.

Doug * the NAR code is where OTHER Realtors and clients will turn when you WIN and they still think they have a case.  Associations use code violations as revenue enhancement for their coffers!!!

Hi Doug,

I always follow the rules and NAR Code Of Ethics, to stay away from litigations. Thank you for sharing a very good post. Happy New Year.

For those with designations ...

Did NAR disclose to you before you took the class that you would need to pay them every year to rent your designation? Did they disclose to you how much the annual renewal would be before you took the class? We are talking ethics here.
