Have you set your goals yet for this year?
It isn't too late. Perhaps you're struggling right now and not sure where to begin. I am reading Jack Canfield's The Success Principles and it is great and has clear thoughts on goal setting, while teaching a very positive message. Positive thoughts are critical, no matter what you are doing.
This is something I have honestly struggled with. From the time I was 2-3 years old, I was shuttled to different foster homes, until I was 4. When I finally went to my last foster home at 4, I told them why bother unpacking my boxes, and wanted my toys and clothes to remain in boxes till I got shuttled to the next spot. All of my life I have functioned in this manner. It is called preparing for Worst Case Scenario so you aren't destroyed by the unexpected.
I have struggled with lifelong depression from the abuse and abandonment during those years and the years with my adoptive mom who didn't want to adopt me, but since my adoptive dad didn't want to separate my biological brother and I, I ended up adopted as well. Our adoptive mother abandoned us when I was 14.
I ended up marrying an alcoholic who ended up at the end getting physical as well as mentally unpleasant. I survived that relationship, but it changed me forever.
Throughout my life, my faith has helped me in my lowest moments, as have my friends and family. I take those for granted at times. I have also leaned on Positive Message books thru out my life.
Lately I have been at a crossroads and have pulled many of those books back out. I can't tell you how much they have helped me with realizing how critical it is that we have positive thoughts, positive affirmations, thankfulness for our blessings, and the list goes on. Two of the books that I have read, have suggested putting a rubber band on your wrist so that when you think negative thoughts, you pop it, so you can train your subconscious not to immediately have negative thoughts arise. I think this is a great idea, as habits are hard to change.
These books teach us we are responsible for our lives and need to accept that and grow from that. Jack Canfield's book The Success Principles covers this and also discusses Positive Affirmations, business, life and much much more. I am enjoying reading it and feel it could be beneficial to anyone who wants to make and embrace positive changes in their life, their career, relationships, etc.
So if you are struggling to get a handle on things, whether business, personal, life, or otherwise, perhaps you might want to check out Jack's book, The Success Principles.
Get those goals set, it isn't too late!!!!!!!!!
Bottom line, don't give up, we are all special, and were put here on this earth for a much higher purpose than most of us are living, and it is up to us to seek that purpose out!
