The "going green" trend is as popular in the Triangle area as anywhere else.

While Cary has experienced unprecedented growth, several parks and greenspaces have been intentionally been built and preserved for the enjoyment of all Cary residents.  Call it "growing" green...you'll find crepemyrtles, magnolias, pines, grassy spaces, all throughout the town.

Nearby Apex is similar.  A 160-acre park is scheduled to be built beginning in Spring 2008 on Apex Barbecue Road.  Hmmm.... from the sound of it, maybe you'll be able to buy yourself a bbq sandwich, assemble a picnic, hop on your bicycle and head out to enjoy a lovely day at this new park.  According to the Cary News, 110 acres will be devoted to nature trails and education and soccer fields will be built on the remaining 50 acres.
