I've done my share of promoting the Town of Oakville with my past blogs and photos.  I happened to find this video on Youtube that I thought I would share.

Oakville Mayor Rob Burton narrates this short snapshot of our beautiful  and vibrant town.  I find it very easy to promote Oakville's virtues to out of town clients. Leafy neighbourhoods, quality schools and a charming downtown core are just a few reasons to call Oakville home.

It's interesting that for a few years after Oakville Place was built, the downtown was "dead". Now, it's probably the most successful main street in southern Ontario.

HI Jim - Funny I thought the same thing.  That's great that you recognize those things now.  Don't forget the geese lol. 

Hi Brian - You said it.  I remember the days of the dead downtown.  Now any stores that do become empty usually lease pretty quickly even though it's pretty pricey sq. footage.

Al & Peg - You're right.  I should have been in it lol.  Next time.

And thanks so much for the birthday shout out on your blog.  I'm blushing lol. 

Thanks Michelle - My son tried to add another year on to my real age today.  He asked me if I was going to be Freedom 55.  I said please, not until next year but I doubt I will find freedom even then.
