As part of my planning for 2010, I read several pages of comments from other people who, like me use the SBI system for their websites.
These 'SBIers' were responding to the question: what was your highlight for 2009.
What an amazing combination of really good information and great inspiration.
If starting your own website is one your 2010 goals, I strongly recommend SBI.
In addition to all of the fabulous technical features of the system, many users actively participate in a variety of forums so that others can benefit from their experience.
SBI users forums as just as helpful ActiveRain forums.
In the conversation thread, one person said:
“Talent is worthless without application and business savvy.”
Bingo!
For purposes of my ActiveRain blog, that will be the approach to providing appropriate marketing support to help you achieve your 2010 goals...to help you develop the business (marketing) savvy...and apply your talent.
Using as a model the marketing triangle that I wrote about on Wednesday, here is what I have in mind.
Know-how
In many respects, blogging is the ideal vehicle for presenting information about what you need to know in order to effectively market your services. It's fast, convenient and timely.
This being the case, I will continue to use my ActiveRain blog to offer this kind of information.
Whenever appropriate, I will also offer suggestions about how to apply this information.
There are however circumstances in which specific information requires more detailed explanation. In these cases, I will address this information on my website and in my ezine.
Whenever I take this approach, I will use the blog to let you know these updates.
And of course, there is my ebook How To Achieve Better Marketing Results...Sooner.
This ebook outlines what you need to know about marketing your services and helps you apply these principles in your own situation.
If you have not yet ordered your copy, there is still time to order it and receive ½ hour of free Achievement Coaching, the details of which I will announce next week.
Or if you prefer, you could buy an ebook is your way of thanking me for past advice...or a voluntary subscription to future services. (Just kidding. Of course if you do decide to purchase an e-book...for whatever reason...I thank you in advance)
Attitudes
In all honesty, there is little I can do to change your attitudes toward marketing.
Sure, the actions of other people might inspire you...but developing and maintaining the most helpful attitudes is your responsibility.
The best I can do is offer other people's experiences as learning opportunities...primarily in my ezine...so that you can benefit from their experiences without the corresponding investment of time energy and money.
Actions
This is the component in which everything comes together. It is where you apply what you know, driven or lead by your mental attitude, beliefs and values.
Everybody has a different combination of skills and resources with which to face the marketing challenges of their markets.
Not surprisingly, everyone's response is and should be different.
With that background, my new Achievement Coaching service to help you take the appropriate actions to achieve your desired results in your market.
The coaching could be simply chatting on the phone for 10 minutes to discuss follow-up with a specific prospect.
Or it could be as detailed as helping you develop a new marketing plan...or editing and publishing that long planned book.
You tell me what help you need and when you need it...and working together, we will develop the solution.
Next week I will roll out the Achievement Coaching service.
In the meantime...how can I help you with your 2010 marketing?
