Anyone got the new year's blues yet? So many goals, so many expectations, and now we have to actually DO something to make it happen.

I think the success rule here is a sweet mix of constant dedication, perseverance and focus to keep us on track, kind of like the racehorse with blinders on. And oh, yes, a healthy dose of R and R.

After I took 2 days off in a row for Christmas, it was a shock to my system. That down time (it was really up/happy time) jolted me back to the reality that I love hard work and goals, but I need more breaks and relaxation. I've already ditched the business books and read 2 novels. A better balance is going to be my way to keep myself on track this year. Hope you have a successful 2010, too!

Barb, that is absolutely very sound thinking! Books not only relax us, they bring a new or refreshing perspective our lives. I generally have one hold-in-the-hands book that I grab and read a couple of pages before going to bed. But books on CD are also great. While I drive and listen, my synapses are snapping like crazy. Currently "reading" The Mayflower. Human nature doesn't really change, but the circumstances vary. And maybe it helps us as Realtors to be able to "read" people a bit better
