I recently sold my home and had to put things in storage for about a year until my new home was ready. As a moving company was not an option for my I decided to use a service that will drop a container off, and then pick it up after you have loaded it. Once they pick it up they will also store it at what I considered was a very reasonable price.
So, in order to get it loaded I could not really count on my wife to help me with the heavy stuff so I found a company that will provide assistance, from 1 to many people to help. They are paid by the hour and again at a reasonable rate. I believe that by moving this way I saved at least a few thousand dollars over hiring a mover.
If anyone is interested in either of the company's I have referred to here I would be more than happy to provide their names. I have not done so here because I am not advertising for them.
One of these services is in both Canada and the States and the other is only in the Toronto/London areas of Ontario.
