Recently, Jeremy Blanton and I formed a new venture, 210 Consulting.  We are hoping to serve as a resource for new and intermediate bloggers and those who want to learn how to leverage their social media time into tangible business results.  I've enjoyed getting to know Jeremy over the past two years or so, and he has become a trusted friend.  I look forward to our partnership this year and beyond.

With that in mind, I'm proud to announce our first webinar as a team:

"How to Chug Google Juice AND Get 15 Years of Fame"

We are combining our talents to bring this one to you on January 18th at 1pm Eastern time (noon Central, 11am Mountain, 10am Pacific).  It will be two action-packed and educational hours.  :-)  The cost is only $50 per person.  I won't try to push this on you by telling you how many Starbucks venti mocha frappuccinos that is, or how you only have to close one deal to pay for this many, many times over.  Suffice it to say that this is a very reasonable price for two hours of business training.  Heck, you can even write it off.

Just what will we be covering?

The primary topics for our class will be:

  • How to write posts on your blog to increase your inquiries (and sales)
  • How to get Google and other search engines to pay attention to your blog
  • Dominating Google for your desired keywords
  • What a longtail keyword is, and how it can send you oodles of potential business
  • How to garner more subscribers and a loyal audience for your blog

In essence, your blog should serve as your "home base" online with any social media marketing plan.  With that in mind, we can help you shape your blog into a cozy and fun place to hang out.

How would it feel to see other people start to spread your content and writing around to their friends?

What are your goals with regard to blogging and social media?

This session is a must for anyone who is new to blogging, or to anyone who feels that they aren't optimizing their efforts with their blog....yet.

We promise to share what has worked well for us.  I hope to see you there!

Tooting our own horn a little bit:

Jeremy has already taught thousands of people how to use their blogs as effective business tools, with one of his students hitting the #1 spot on Google for a challenging keyword within 10 hours.  He is also one of the top featured ActiveRain bloggers from the state of South Carolina.

I am the most-subscribed non-staff blogger on ActiveRain, with nearly 1700 subscribers.  I am also the co-host of the most-listened-to BlogTalkRadio show about social networking in 2009, Social Media Edge.  I've served as a paid coach for real estate, blogging, social media, and sales.

We've written over 1500 posts to date between us.  Clearly, we both enjoy and understand blogging.

This is great news!  I'll notify my clients.

Mark - I didn't even see the game, but I was sorry to hear about Colt.  He's a solid guy.  I was concerned to see his post-game interview, in which he indicated that his arm was completely numb.

Bruce - Please do!  The more the merrier!

Hi Jason - I order venti mocha frappucinos, so I can tell you $50 will get you ten, with a dollar or two left over depending on your tax rate. Good luck with the webinar! Where does the name 210 come from?

John - I also order them, which is why I knew it was a real drink.  :-)  It's my favorite Starbucks beverage.  210 was my own creation - it references Ephesians 2:10.

Jason - that's FANTASTIC!  I can't think of two better people qualified to teach this - you guys are going to rock it and whoever signs up will certainly get WAY MORE than $50 worth of information!  TOTAL SUCCESS to you my friend!

Bill - It's actually a reference to a Bible verse, Ephesians 2:10.  :-)  I think it's a bargain, too, especially for any early birds who sign up over the weekend for just $40.  I found the boat picture on Flickr via Creative Commons.

Leesa - Thanks!  I think it'll be a lot of fun to work with Jeremy in our new venture.  Please feel free to re-blog or spread the word to anyone you think would benefit from this class.

Best of luck in your venture.

"But wait, there's more"

HAHA That's funny man! You should do an infomercial.

On a serious note, are you going to convert it to mp3 so we can order it later on?

Jer - I think that was one of the coolest things.  We should make sure to mention that during the class!

Frank - Keep in mind that you will save a bit of money if you decide to register over the weekend.  :-)  Hope to see you there!

Jeff - I've taught this stuff in a classroom setting a few times, so the prep isn't too bad.  I think Jeremy is a terrific partner in this new project/business.

Sharon - Sign up if you can.  Hope to see you there.  Sounds like you know just enough to be dangerous now.  :)

Steve - I'm looking forward to it!  Thanks for your kind words.

Nathan - We are planning to record it, but we'll have to see how the audio quality turns out before we offer it in that format.  Either way, we'll be teaching this session again sometime soon.

Carolyn - Thanks for the support!  Much appreciated.

Jason,

i do not mind jumping on, but for me being able to listen to it again later is very important. If not, it will be just overwhelming 2 hours (LOL)

It is great that you guys are doing this.  I am way slammed now since I had back problems for 2 months.  so good luck to the 2 of you.  I may want to get it later if it works out to record it.  Also, you may want to do 3 different levels, so it would be more specific to where we are all at.  That would give it even more value for us.

I'm such a dork, I read Jeremy's post first, and commented as if I was on YOUR blog! Gaaahhh! Why gaahhh? Because this is what I comment ON Jeremy's post >.<   ....

Ummm... I'm not sure how to respond to this one. I'm psyched for you guys. And I'm impressed by your ranking numbers. But $50.00??  O_O    I definitely can't do that  =(

A plug for you/Jeremy though. One night I was having trouble getting a contest entry to post, and was going down the list of AR guys, and Jeremy was the only one to answer the phone. Ironically, he's on the east coast, so he was in the latest time zone, and was already in bed! Yet he took the time to help me get my post to upload. That's pretty awesome in my book! =D

So I had to go back and add this part....

LOL. I left all think, thinking I was on Jason's blog >.<  Doh! Oh well. Plug for you, on your own blog! =D

Jon - Since this is our initial foray, we will get that set up rather quickly, I'm sure.  Keep an eye out!

Jirius - I love this idea, and I agree.  Thanks for that.

Mark - That's a tough promise to make!  Maybe you should sign up to make sure you get the info first.  :)

Lisa - Sorry to hear that it's too much money right now, but we really can't justify spending the prep and teaching time for much less than that.  Keep in mind it's $40 for early birds.  :)

Dona- Go ahead & Sign up!  I will have a copy of our presentation available in pdf format for those who would like a copy immediately following the webinar!

Jon- We will try to record the session for those that attend.  I am not sure how good the quality will be.  Sometimes the webinar stuff goes screwy, but if it does and we cannot record this one, I will make sure to send you the recording afterwards for the next one. I know how important it is to have that available for reference.

Nathan- I am not sure if the webinar software will allow me to download it & convert to MP3.  But, we do plan to have it recorded & available for future purchases.

Hate to do this to you, Jason, but I am counter-programming for the 18th.  As you have selected this fateful launch date, you run smack into my annual birthday salute to my sister.  It just so happens that I plan to up the ante this year by live streaming my human birthday candle routine.  The pyrotechnics are off the chain.  I'd alter my time slot, but the posters already went out.  Sorry, dude.

Question:  if I pre-plan the ignition, can I still legally refer to it as "spontaneous combustion?"

FYI - the system asked me to print my ticket and bring it to the entrance.  Am I missing something?  You'll be sending out instructions on how to join the webinar, right?  Thanks!

Jason - The best part of this webinar is that two real life users of blogs for their business are teaching it.  Not some "guru" or "expert" that has showed up late to the game...
