....the first step in fulfilling your goals is writing them down.
When you write out your goals, and I mean, when you actually put them on paper, they can and do happen.
Let me tell you how a famous study proves my point. In the early 60's, Harvard University began to have their graduates practice goal setting. You must realize these are some of the most the brilliant students in the world. They were required to think through their goals and asked to write them down. Over a 30 year period it was realized that only a tiny percentage, actually wrote down their goals. 3%. This 3% were the most successful!
How hard can it be? Try it. What do you want to accomplish? Write out your goals and number them in order of importance to you.
Some ideas to include:
•Ø Life goals
•Ø Travel goals
•Ø Work goals
•Ø Education goals
•Ø Relationship goals
•Ø Religious goals
•Ø Home improvement
•Ø Books to read
•Ø Fences to mend
•Ø Recipes to try
•Ø Completing this list for yourself and your loved ones
•Ø That book you want to write
Top of my first list was "vacation in Hawaii"! And guess what... it happened! The vacation of my dreams! The trip was a gift from my husband for our 25th anniversary. It can happen for you too.
To get started, just think, "I want to "blank"." Fill in the blank and be specific. Instead of, "I want to travel." Say, "I want to vacation in Hawaii." "I want to go to San Francisco." See how many goals you can write in one session. Mark off the things you have completed!
Okay, on your mark, get set...GO!

Writing goals is important. This year I want to work on getting really good at stating them and the objectives to reach them. So far so good.
