Buyers who are procrastinating better think fast. This market is moving quickly. Smart buyers are now out in force and will get the best deals as fast as they can. What will you do?

Are you ready to give away money? Wouldn't it be great to have some of the first year's mortgage paid for by someone other than YOU? When the tax credit goes away again...will it be replaced? One never knows. There are so many variables in the government right now, and some of them believe we are on the road to recovery so they may not extend it nor increase it. If there is a home in your dreams, you might want to get moving quickly. Others are and have. Why not make your move now?

I have buyers chomping at the bit to buy a home, but there is no inventory. We need to encourage sellers to list their homes now so the buyers can have something to buy!

Thanks, Bridget. We need to motivate people. One would think that getting a chunk of change would make them want to get out and BUY...not so much time, especially if you are doing FHA.

Ellie. Come on up to Minnesota. Lots of inventory. Bank-owneds, short sale and fair market. Get out the sellers....tell them to move to the sunbelt...whatever it takes!!

There are a lot of prospects I have that would love to take advantage of the tax credit...but due to strict regulations and tight lending...it's making it tough. I am encouraging those with good credit not to waste time... It is crucial to get a move on their applications to be approved. Most lenders that I am working with are giving me a 60 day window to get these loans through.

Claire, you are on the right track. Without getting people at least in the process, they may lose their window of opportunity. Get qualified, find the right agent to work with, get the qualifications of the home you want to buy narrowed down, search available housing and get the offer in!!! Thanks for your input!
