23 Comments on That spooky landline texting has happened again.
I didn't even know this was possible. I am still surprised when I see my caller ID pop up on the television.
Hi Barbara, I was wondering about this awhile ago. I tried to txt someone but it was not a cell, I think my phone got the txt back and said something if I wanted to send it via alternative method "text to landline". So this is the result a scary phone call from a robot. All the best in 2010.
Michael, now what does that mean. Caller ID popping up on TV? Explain please. That's new to me.
Eva, at least they asked about sending. I don't think this was asked. I think they just did it. I'm still wondering about the cost.
Hi Barbara, I have had the robot calls but never on this topic. Very strange!!
Hello Barbara and these could be my relatives from far away trying to give you more experiences that you can post to the PARANORMAL group!
VB ;o)
This does sound kind of creepy!
Gary, it makes me wonder what else can happen in this world of technology.
Bob, test it on yourself. It is weird!
Hi Barbara ~ Chalk this up as another nifty thing I learned here on AR. I'm going to send my parents one. Cool!
Liz
Liz, be sure you don't scare them to death! It does sound mysterious and spooky!
I have the caller id thing that shows up on my t.v. screen - but only when I"m watching "regular" t.v. , NOT a DVD or something recorded by TiVo. And speaking of, is yours up and running YET????
That robotic voice would have freaked me out, too. NEVER heard of such a thing. What is the world coming to?

I had no idea you could text landlines. VERY interesting... and thanks for sharing the info to save the rest of us from having a panic attack!!
Anita, my tivo is up but I'm not sure it is working right. I need help from you masters.
Ruth, when it happens to you now, you will not be as surprised. Why don't you try it on your least favorite friend that you want to give a jolt! LOL
I have heard of this but I have not experienced it yet.
Oooh Barbara that is down right spooky and would have freaked me out a bit! Ok, ok a lot. I would have freaked me out a lot!
Hi Barbara,
Like others, I didn't know you can do that on a land line. I wonder how many of your readers will try it. lol
Barbara, it's never ever occurred to me to send a text to a landline. Yikes! That could be weird.
Alan, try it sometime and see what you think. At least you will not be surprised when you get one.
Cynthia, you wouldn't have been spooked. You're a brave one!!
Tony, I want to know what it costs before doing it much. That may be another blog. Landlines need a way to make money and that may be one way.
Patricia, try it!!
Barb, try it.
you guys were great
Jessica, did you try it?
