A Sneak Peek at Extreme Staging Project / Redesign Project

By
Home Stager with Shows Great Home Staging and Web Solutions

The past couple of weeks we have been working on a new staging / redesign project for a client.  It is a condo that was stuck in a 1980's time warp and needed to be brought up to date before hitting the market the middle of January.  To make matters worse, the condo had been rented for several years and the tenants had pretty much trashed the interior.

Living Room After:

The window treatments, curtains and wallpaper have been removed.  The walls were painted with a Sherwin Williams Latte to tone down the peach tones in the ceramic tile around the fireplace.  The trim and below the fireplace were painted a soft white.  New carpet and padding have been installed.

The wallpaper has been removed and the appliances are being replaced with stainless steel appliances.  The walls have been painted "Latte".  After photos will be posted once the appliances go in.

New carpet has been installed and a soft teal paint was selected for the walls.  With so much brown and beige throughout, I thought we needed to punch it up a bit in the bedroom.  Especially since the room tended to be a little dark since it did not get any direct sunlight.

This week we will be putting the "icing on the cake" on this project.  The light fixtures will be installed.  The new appliances will be installed, and the staging will begin.  Furniture, accessories, and window treatments will be installed.  Be sure to check back for updates later this week.

The target list date for this home is January 18th.  There will be a REALTOR luncheon and preview a few days after it hits the market.

At Shows Great Home Staging and Web Solutions, we can handle your extreme staging project or we can work with your contractor to help with a plan, color selections, and overseeing the project.  For all of your real estate staging needs in Roanoke, Smith Mountain Lake, New River Valley, and Lynchburg, please contact Shows Great Home Staging and Web Solutions.

Wanda,

I am starting a staging of a 1 bdrm condo this week and I am expecting to have to change quite a bit.

Your changes are giving the rooms a far more refined look.  Amazingly, some people live in your before pix conditions and think it is just fine.

Thanks Chrissie - it has been a lot of fun and is always rewarding to see what huge difference can be made.

Thanks Kathy - "time capsule" is the perfect way to describe it.  I can't wait to post the after photos.

Thanks Sharon - I commented on your post about the color choices for your upcoming project.  I can't wait to see the photos from your project.

The room with the fireplace looks so much better with the two tone color scheme.  I really like the latte color being used on the top of the walls, it looks very warm - even in the pictures.  I cannot wait to see the bathroom.

Thanks Liz.  I appreciate the comment.

Thanks Kate - I can't wait to post photos of the bath.  I got a call this afternoon that the ceramic tile is finished so now we just have to finish the painting and hang the light fixtures and towel bars.
