Contrary to popular rumor and urban myths, Santa Claus apparently does not return immediately to the North Pole once his Christmas rounds are done.
For the second consecutive year, Santa has been spotted on Coronado Island well after Christmas.
Today, January 10, 2010, he was seen leaving the Coronado Beach with only two reindeer pulling his sleigh. The sleigh was empty, and it looks like Santa has a pretty good tan.

Rumors have it that the other reindeers are staying behind to visit their friends at the San Diego Zoo.
