SEO Contracts have become much more common over the last few years.  Just 4 of 5 years ago people could sign up for SEO Services and did not have to sign a contract of any type.  This has changed tremendously and most SEO Companies now require a one year contract for SEO Services.  Many of these contracts are every bit as iron clad as cell phone contracts.

On a weekly basis I hear from new clients on how they are paying $400 or $500 a month for SEO Services that fall flat on promises or show little to no results.  The biggest complaint I hear is the poor customer services they received.  These SEO Companies start out like gang busters but soon the phone calls and emails dry up.   Many of these same clients will make call after call to find out what work has been done or is being done and are ignored.

So after many months of being ignored many of these Real Estate Agents do what anyone would do and stop paying on the monthly contract.  It is usually only then the Agent hears from the SEO Company and then it is usually to ask about payment.   The problem is resolved and promises are made to do a better job only to be broken again.  It is an endless cycle for some of these companies.  I am not saying that you should never sign a contract for SEO Services, but I am saying that you need to check out a company before committing that much money every month.

I am proud to say that SEO Redefined has never required yearly contracts and lets Agents cancel at anytime.  We have found that this works very well for us.   No contracts and effective SEO results has helped us grow our business year after year.

Wayne, Been there, done that!  My problem now is getting Internet traffic, but poor quality leads.  Lots of stuff under 100.000 when most of my market in upscale Naples is 500.000 to 5 million.  Have tried to fix the IDX  (changing the price parameters) but really frustrated .  Any thoughts?

Marcia I think my first task would be two fold.  You should take a look at all the short tail and long phrases to see if they have been optimized to each webpage and the market you after.  You may need to take a real hard look at your current SEO strategy.

You will also want to check your website statistics and look at your bounce rate, time spent on each page, the path people are taking through your site and whether the traffic is coming from the search engines or not..just to name a few.
