This Month's WCR-METRO STL SPOTLIGHT ON SUCCESS goes to the 2009 Governing Board, our active WCR membership, and our WCR sponsors and supporters in the business community for a job well done. The commitment of time and contribution of resources from our members and sponsors have made our chapter the "Go 2 Network for St. Louis Real Estate Professionals." Each member and sponsor has contributed to the success of the organization. Here are what some of your colleagues are saying about WCR-Metro STL:
- Beale Leubben/Buyer’s Protection Group: The St. Louis Women’s Council of Realtors is the best resource for education, networking, and relationships. I have sent countless referrals to agents in WCR through my association with this excellent organization. Our members are the most professional experts I have ever had the good fortune to work with!
- Ryan Shaughnessy/PREA Signature Realty: By regularly attending the business resource meetings, we also developed relationships with real estate professionals as well as affiliates. These relationships have been invaluable. I don't know any other group that is as inviting, welcoming and readily willing to offer assistance as our local WCR chapter. We met experienced brokers, sales managers and agents who were willing to share their insights, experiences and resources. These people are some of the best and brightest in the industry and we are proud to call them our friends and colleagues.
- Bob Sargent/USA Mortgage: The WCR is an excellent way to promote what I do in the real estate industry. I make home mortgages for buyers of real estate. By attending these meetings and working on the governing board, I have developed many fantastic friendships and business relationships. The WCR offers tremendous leadership opportunities. The WCR resource meetings are also great for learning about the latest trends and what works well in today's market place.

- Evren Senol/ReMax Results: There is no substitute for experience and human interaction. I believe that my business has grown because of my interactions in WCR. I keep learning new things at every meeting and also by interacting with the Realtors and Affiliates I met at WCR. I could be locked up in an office making phone calls, doing paperwork, etc all day long, but I choose to better myself and have more fun while achieving that at WCR.
- Ben Davenport/Rottler Pest & Lawn Solutions: It's more than just face time. It's more than just marketing. It is a chance to build relationships. WCR is not just business, but it is loads of fun. WCR meetings are a way for me to meet people who know tons of other people. That's good for relationships and business.
- Shelly Clark/Cardinal Surveying: When I first got involved with WCR a few years ago, I thought that the main reason I would go to the luncheons would be to rub elbows with folks in the real estate industry. I must admit that while I do enjoy this aspect of what Women's Council has to offer, I find myself getting even more out of the programs at the luncheons. This organization is focused on helping you to better yourself, your relationships and YOUR BUSINESS. That's the bottom line... we're all here to make money - and the programs have encouraged me to think outside the box, go places I hadn't thought of, and trust in myself. Who wouldn't want to be a part of Women's Council?
- Michelle Silies/PREA Signature Realty: The Women’s Council of REALTORS® has afforded me an opportunity to connect with an incredibly professional group of individuals that promote education, professional development and relationships. I have learned so much from our programs and speakers. It’s virtually impossible not to grow and become a better person when you are around this group! My favorite thing about being part of our chapter is the interaction with our membership and the way our members build each other up instead of constantly competing with each other. This group of professionals will not only teach you what they know, but will also cheer you on, celebrate your success and support you whenever you are in need. You just couldn’t ask for a better organization to devote your time to while working to improve yourself and your business!
- Danielle Bond/American Eagle Credit Union: Our Chapter of WCR is exceptional! Although I have only been a member of the Chapter for a few years my network of close Business Associates has definitely grown. I have definitely noticed an increase in business since joining WCR. On a personal note I would like to thank Carolyn Mantia for pulling me away from the wall and encouraging me to have an active membership.
- Elizabeth Robb/Elizabeth Robb and Associates: I have enjoyed the educational opportunities of Women's Council for a number of years.
