Dancing Chicken

As we all know ....once the perfect property has been found, a perfect price has been set. It's time to do the Happy Dance!

Buyers and Sellers alike are in the throes of Happiness!

But alas....as we well know...this Euphoric State.... is short lived!!

  All too soon we are in (tah,tah,tah,tah) STAGE TWO

  The Home Inspection, the results of the Home Inspection,more Negotiating, a bit of Finger Pointing, Appraisal, Financing Commitment....and on, and on. Suddenly both sides are Stressed Out! Time to whip out .....

                                                                               THE ANTI-STRESS KIT

                                                                        stress kit

  Put these items in a small mesh bag or zip-lock baggie. Staple it closed with a Decorative Tag with a ribbon tied through it. The tag says:

                                 Your Anti-Stress Kit

AN ERASER- So you can make all your mistakes disappear

A PENNY- So you will never say "I'm Broke"

A MARBLE- In case someone says "you've lost your marbles"

A RUBBER BAND- Because clearly you've stretched yourself beyond your limit

A STRING- To tie things together when everything falls apart

A HUG & KISS- To remind you that someone cares about you!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I guarantee you will see a smile from your Client...It's perfect fr breaking that thick tension that builds up and will give all...a good chuckle! This works for Buyers and Sellers alike.
 They will remember it! And you!
What an utterly charming idea, Joan.  If they're pre-made by you, please send me one.  Add a piece of gum, to assist the rope...and in the end, it'll all work out.  Oh, add a bottle of scotch, for that moment- and make it Chivas!
Joan -- this is just what the doctor ordered!  I could use about a dozen of those -- and by the way, perhaps a good cold beer at the end of a stressful week.  Lately, my clients and deals have been very STRESS producing!  I also think I may need more than 1 marble -- I think I have lost more than one along the way (hee hee).
Hi Jay...good to see you. Keep an eye out this week for another "tour"  I'm doing a road trip Saturday for my Birthday. Up around Fitzwilliam! That should help lower the stress.
Joan - you are quite the calming factor, I would believe.  I love the idea of your little stress relief kit.  I am going to make a few up this week and make sure I have them with me when meeting a client.
Thanks for sharing!
Absolutely!  In fact I have a meeting today with a committee I serve on and we have a rep from the government here checking on our compliance with funding rules, programming, etc.  so I'm going to make one to take with me and give to the program coordinator since she's the one under the gun with this project.
Oh my gosh!  That is great!  I already designed a two sided business card with that on the back and have ordered mini clear plastic ziplock bags (3"x5") to put the "kit" in!  This is great.  I am bringing one to every meeting, giving one to every client, and having a bunch on hand for those crazy occasions when you might see a bit of rage come out in all of us.
