Blog Tour USA in Miami

A little birdie told me (actually e-mailed me.....thanks Dave) that the Sellsius guys, were going to be in Miami on Sunday and Monday so I jumbled my schedule around and gave them a call to see what their plans were.

We agreed to meet near Miami Ink in SoBe (I admit I was a little scared about going into a Tattoo Parlor....but this is Miami.....what the heck!). Rudy and Joe ended up being the nicest, most down to earth guys and it was such a pleasure to meet them.

For those of you that may not know about Blog Tour USA, Rudy and Joe, the brains behind The Sellsius Real Estate Blog, are interviewing people throughout the US about blogging and real estate. They have a camera at all times and they not only interview Realtors, but people walking down the street and in this case beach. They did play the tourist part when we walked on the beach at Ocean Drive and 9th Street; they went straight to the beach to get their feet wet. What do you think of this great Tourist Shot?

Check them out in action. A random woman on Ocean Drive who ended up being a Realtor and super nice....she had even heard about my Miamism blog.....ya think?

And just when I thought the day could not get any better, Kevin Tomlinson shows up! He is such a cutie in person and I gave him a hard time about being afraid of Ardell.

good for you. I was sorry to see I was not in town at the beginning of the tour and missed my local dates.

wow.. looks like a great time to hang with the top bloggers. i was down there clueless on saturday. :) hey, did you see the cross dressing batman on Ocean Dr?

Looks like fun. I am anxiously awaiting the Denver stop next week. Thanks for sharing the photos!

WOW, I loved this post. For some reason I thought this might be a virtual tour from the first time I read about it. Obviously now from the Pacific side to the Atlantic I was wrongl.

BTW, not to worry, ...those tattoos only last a lifetime.

Desiree - bummer!!! I wish I could say "don't worry, you'll catch them next time"...but that's not happening!

Nicky Mississippi - I can't believe you missed them! You didn't see their big BLOG TOUR USA RV parked in a "no parking zone" on Ocean Drive?....oh wait, you were too busy watching Mr. Batman (I have him dancing....na na na na na!)

Chrissy - you will have fun, they are a little wacky.

Mariana - they tried to interview me but I kept cracking up....let's see how much of that they can use! They have a great story about a fly going into Rudy's mouth....you have to hear them tell it.

Lynda - Rick was so worried I would walk out with a tatoo.....but it didn't happen.....yet.

haha, funny :) i took batman down, so he's all yours. No tour bus! they weren't parked on the strip while i was there Sat afternoon.. i walked it a few times. oh well :))

Keep the sharing coming as they go across the usa!

Great shots, Ines, especially the first one. Thanks for sharing this - it has been fun to read of their adventures so far. We are looking forward to them being here in San Diego later this month.

Sally - you better believe it! I'm dying to see what these guys come up with!

Jeff - you'll have a great time, just make sure you plan for it because the day will come and you won't realize it!

Susie - It was the funniest, we were walking towards the beach and I was telling them about Miamism Fridays and then we see it and Rudy says.....THAT'S A MIAMISM! So I take out the camera and now you have to wait until Friday to see it.

Katrina - I know they're doing a documentary, but don't know how they will go about it. They ARE creative, so we'll have to wait and see.

Laurie - I know you always talk well about them, it was great to see them in person.

Jay - LOL! I do think your RV would be a tad more difficult to park......Rudy and Joe leave this thing EVERYWHERE!! I think local authorities think they are Media and don't touch them, it's pretty funny.

Moni- you guys are a trip....I hope it's PhotoShop!

Rudy - I really had a lot of fun with you guys. You are so genuine and sincere and I love what you are doing with those interviews. Thanks for checking out MIAMISM - It's like one of my children, a work in progress.

OH! I almost forgot. The surreal part of the whole experience is that you guys were in my turf and I was supposed to make YOU feel at home and it ended up being the other way around. I sat in your "hot chair" and you guys made ME feel welcome...how did that happen?? so THANK YOU and THANK JOE as well!

Ines, I am giving myself 30 lashings for being so clueless. I first heard about this from the same birdie but it was too late for me. So glad you were able to meet them. Big LOL to Jay. My Isuzu would be dwarfed by the sign if I joined the tour.

Ines - this just shows how much more fun our relationships would be in the market if we would take the time to meet each other for some fun and business on a regular basis.

I wish we had all gotten together but I'm glad the guys had enough time in SoBe to meet us all!

Hey Ines - love the pictures, and especially the one of them interviewing that lady in her bikini. How funny is that??!?!?!?!? Really though, I love the one with the 3 of you at the back of the bus - cool black shades, looking just like regular people hangin on the beach behind a 'media' bus.....

This sounds like so much fun! I'd bet New England doesn't show up on their schedule at all - I think I actually looked not that long ago, and we weren't there at all. What a shame....!

Love the NH RV with the banner on it - when's that rolling out to start doing some interviews???

Ines, I just finished reading David's blog and looking at his pictures, so it was a nice surprise when I clicked on yours and saw more picture of the Blog Tour.

Did you get a tattoo????

Maggie - don't even do that....you know how it is, you are able to make time sometimes and others you can't. I was very close to not being able to - I had promised the guys a boat ride and Rick had taken the boat in to get serviced, so I ended up being the bummer. Something else will come up and I will call you.

David - thanks for the heads up and lets see when we get an opportunity to meet.

Leah - thanks.....it's nice to get patted on the back!

Janie - they hung out in Coconut Grove all morning yesterday, with the Condo.com guys - that would have been right around the corner from you.

Ann - wasn't that a trip? They also interviewed a guy with an English accent that said he was from Texas! It was hilarious!

That's what I REALLY love about our online network...we talk, we communicate in virtual space and then this magic takes over and we MEET!...and when we do, we can find that there is even more magic in store...Thanks for sharing your adventure...I'd call it ..

Dena - Derek has to be the easiest person to mess with - he looks like the "buggable" type : )

Lisa - I think they already passed you....but never stopped in Daytona....did Orlando and then South Beach.

Ines - Wacky is fine by me - it is summer after all!

David - moderate weather - they were interviewing girls in bikinis!! We need to meet Maggie and Janie for sure!

David - LOL...I think something could be arranged. As for the moderate weather; it has been extremely hot here lately. Not as hot as Miami, mind you but much warmer than we are use to here up north.

Ines - you are so right - I got to meet Rudy and Joe of Sellsius here in St Petersburg and what amazing guys they are. They do make you feel so comfortable - our only regret was that we didn't have more time. I had to tweak to make it happen - so glad I did!!

Cyndee - I am so glad you got to meet them...quite a pair, no? I also had to do some shuffling....but it happened.
