What's Wrong With A Naked Tree?

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty 0575737

WintertimeWith many folks all around the work place "complaining" about cold temperatures, I say "hello", it is winter. DUH!!

How about a nice change of pace? Besides,

What's Wrong With A Naked Tree?

Do you think the tree is embarassed standing out there with all its' leaves gone? You don't need an airport body scanner to see all its vital parts. I love winter, equally as much as other seasons I encounter cause it is just another chance, and perhaps another way, to feel alive. Sure you might shiver, but then you find some place warm as you complain. Complaining may be a good vent for us, but it is a common experience we can share with others that we MADE IT through a hardship.

So, many lessons in nature from gazing THROUGH a forest of trees this brief time of year.

Something that appears dead can rejuvenate. Live in the moment, and just slow down and enjoy it. Hardship is not all bad. This too will pass and you will get through it. BE PATIENT with life! That's a hard one for me. Let things unfold in their due course. I rather like naked trees. Enjoy them while they are around.

Gary...

When the leaves are down in the mountains, you can see for miles and miles! And the cold makes the sky so clear. It's wonderful.

Gary....why do you do this to me? Your note...and now this?  I just got ready to throw in the towel.  I was just looking at all my trees today, thinking along the same lines.  Great picture.  I don't know if I would look as noble naked as those trees, however.  But, getting down to the bare bones once in a while isn't bad unless it's January in Minnesota!

Shivering at least lets you know you are alive. A lesson maybe from a naked tree is that we now can see the forest thru the trees. Love the pic. <SMILE>

Hi Gary ~ A few years ago I became mesmerized by bare trees. The branches are so exquisite it's almost psychedelic.  And the variety is amazing. It's made the leaf-free season much more bearable for me.

Hi Gary:

Gary, I like the way you think. I do tire of the constant complaints that it is too hot or too cold. Just accept what it is, and enjoy. You can't change it anyway.

Gary, such a good point. I love taking snow pictures, and nekkid trees are certainly a part of that!

Hi Gary,

I do welcome the change in seasons and many times wish our seasons were more defined. This year there is no question!! I like your "be patient with life" message..we do need to practice this more often!

Good Morning Gary,

Your metaphors are always so thought inspiring....just when I should be getting ready to go to the boat show, I find myself gazing out the window at naked trees.

Thanks for the well-timed reminder that I needed!  One of the things I try to remind myself of in the midst of snow storms is that it's the snow and frigid temperatures that allow the bulb plants to bloom so beautiful in the spring time.  In just a few months we will have tulips galore in Indiana and Michigan that are almost impossible to grow successfully in the tropical climates.

Of course a naked tree is beautiful. Because you can clearly see the birds who roost on its branches!

Gary:  Good moral to this nature story.  And leave it to you to find the inspiration in a naked tree.  You're the best.

A naked tree against a gun metal gray sky.  Stark and beautiful.  I love that.

Gary:  Nice analogy.  I moved to Austin from Dallas and noticed that most of the trees down here keep their leaves all year long.  I guess they're a little shy like me!
