Northwest MS Foreclosure Market Report - December 2009
I have been keeping statistics on my local Northwest MS foreclosure market for a number of years. Every Friday I see how many new foreclosure homes have been placed on the market and how many went under contract.
Here is a chart that shows that activity over the past year:
Currently, 8.7% of the homes available for sale in Northwest MS are foreclosures; however, 22% of homes that sold in December 2009 were foreclosures.
The Northwest MS community that continues to have the highest number of foreclosures is Olive Branch.
