Gary Woltal's post this morning sent me a well-deserved reminder. In all things, be joyful! It's easy to start thinking about the snow in a negative manner and forget about the beauty of the snow and the fun things that are possible in the snow. Most of us in Valparaiso, Indiana could probably use a knock on the head reminder that it's winter so, of course, there's snow!

With many folks all around the work place "complaining" about cold temperatures, I say "hello", it is winter. DUH!!
How about a nice change of pace? Besides,
What's Wrong With A Naked Tree?
Do you think the tree is embarassed standing out there with all its' leaves gone? You don't need an airport body scanner to see all its vital parts. I love winter, equally as much as other seasons I encounter cause it is just another chance, and perhaps another way, to feel alive. Sure you might shiver, but then you find some place warm as you complain. Complaining may be a good vent for us, but it is a common experience we can share with others that we MADE IT through a hardship.
So, many lessons in nature from gazing THROUGH a forest of trees this brief time of year.
Something that appears dead can rejuvenate. Live in the moment, and just slow down and enjoy it. Hardship is not all bad. This too will pass and you will get through it. BE PATIENT with life! That's a hard one for me. Let things unfold in their due course. I rather like naked trees. Enjoy them while they are around.
