I Got Published! UPDATE = The Link :-)

Real Estate Agent with I.V.P.G. - Inland Valley Professional Group

Hi All,

A week or so ago I posted I Got Published about an article that I was asked to write for my local board's monthly newspaper.  I promised to let you all see it when it was put up on their website.  The holiday delayed things just a tad, but the article is now up and available for perusal at CVAR.net.

It is under the "Tech Tips" section and is entitled "To Blog or Not To Blog... Do You Understand The Question?"  Take a look and let me know what you think.

It still amazes me to think that barely three months ago I joined AR having never blogged before, and now I am being asked to write about Real Estate Blogging as a voice of authority and to teach others how to do it as well.  Boy, I sure have come a long way since that that first seminar in Pasadena.  And I actually owe it all to everyone here.  I could not teach what I had not learned and I could not have learned if you folks had not been willing to teach.

Thank you again for all you have given me.  I am doing my best to give back.

Take care all, help lots of people and have a wonderful day!

Congrats!  Good article.  I think you did a great job introducing a topic that might be completely unfamiliar to the intended reader.

(Did you notice they repeated the first paragraph twice?  Better fix that!)

Congrats on getting published.  It is great that you are able to pass along to your peers what you have learned.  What is amazing about the world of technology is that it is always changing and all of us together can help each other keep up.

Congrats.  Are they going to put you up on their website as well?  if so make sure they use the anchor text that will best help you with your market area, as well as ask if they are putting a no-follow tag on it.  If they are putting a no-follow tag and will not remove it, then save your breath on the anchor text as it will not matter.

Tisza,

Again, Congratulations on being published.  I loved your analogy of search engines & patrons at a buffet.  I never thought of search engines that way, but is so true.   Keep up the good work.

There goes the ActiveRain "superstar"  I want her autograph!!

Hi All,

Cheryl - No, I had not noticed that, I was so excited to see it finally up that I think I "fixed" it when I read it.  I will let them know.  Thanks

Linda - I am proud to have been asked, grateful for what I have learned and glad to be able to share.

Mary - Great idea!  I had not thought of doing that :-)  I am still a bit overwhelmed to think that for the rest of the month anyone who goes into the board will get the paper and my article will be there filling page four and spilling over onto page five.

Mary - Thanks, and I can say "They helped me to..."

James - I will ask about the anchor text.  The link I provided here actually goes to the Citrus Vally Association of Realtors site.  Thanks for the info.

Michele - Thanks, I think it is pretty great as well.  I have been fortunate all the way around in my Real Estate career - Great Office... Great Board... Great Resources Like AR and Great People like you!

Harold - Thanks for asking... Here you go...signature

ARDELL - Just trying to live up to my mentors :-)

Take care all, help lots of people and have a wonderful day!

Tisza, it is so exciting to get published! Next think of a small "real" book on Real Estate Blogging in a combo of how you write here and how you write on your blog! Pitch it to the publishers and I bet you could get a deal. Some people do well just giving information but you have that ability to grab people and make them want to read more----dang, why don't we all have that! UNFAIR!!! Anyway I would buy that book and I know anyone that did, would love it and feel that they got their money's worth. Easy to say - write a book, but more work for you! :-)

Hi Sandra,

That is a great idea.   I think I will pursue it.  I have always nurtured my hidden author and who knows, this might just be the way to let her out to play.  Thank you for your unflagging support and your good wishes.

Take care,

Tisza

Hi All,

Tony - Thank you for the kudos.  I am hopeful that it will help others discover what we have already found.  And a few more chances to write would be welcome as well :-)

Kevin - Yes, it feels very, very nice indeed.  Thanks for the update, I hope your folks find it interesting as well.

Take care, help lots of people and have a wonderful and very successful week!
