Real estate market- Blind optimism?

By
Real Estate Agent with Wilkinson And Associates Real Estate

Hello Everyone, I guess that I am one of those "GLASS IS HALF FULL" kind of people. I have been thinking alot lately on what the real estate market will look like this year. Part of me thinks that unemployment at its highest rate in years and the general economy not exactly doing great that things could be tough in the real estate game. However, with the tax incentives and the fact that people always need a place to live, I believe that this will be a good year for home sales. What do you think? Regards, Rod Potter

Rod,

I am with you.  I want to believe this will be a good year but can't imagine it being blindingly great.  A gentle improvement would be welcome given all of the hurdles our economy still faces.

Wow! That was a quick response, thanks. I havent really used Activerain in quite a while(opps, my bad). I have been thinking about creating a " distant brokers as friends network" to bounce marketing/general ideas off from each other. Maybe we could all do a converence call once a month or something. What do you think? Rod Potter

People will always need to buy and sell homes.  The market may be smaller, but even in a recession agents are closing transactions.  The trick is to figure out how to spend your time and resources to become one of those agents.  When the economy finally turns around you'll be well positioned to gain even more market share.
