When I was young I use to go to Newtown to enjoy the peacefulness & beauty of your lovely Town At one time my Father worked at the Old HAWLEYVILLE SCHOOL I think that was its name..As a teenager we use to go to the dances in Newtown , I think they were in the basement of the Town Hall , mind you this was back in the 60's.We would come from Danbury just to enjoy your Town & its charm.I now live in Maine & the small towns out here often bring back memories of the good old days I spent in your town. The population of my town is 1100 people & it so reminds of the good old days in CT. when life was a place filled we joy & love.
I just wanted to say how sad it made me when I heard of the tragedy that struck your town. I could not imagine the pain & suffering that all of you have live with in your lives & in your town.
