Home sales in June remained consistent with the sales of March, April and May. No significant decline beyond traditional seasonal changes. Though listings remain high and Tucson remains in a Buyers Market, overall sales have not faltered. Though 1,299 sales falls 40 short of predicted sales, it falls right in line with the 1,326, 1,295, and 1,394 for respective sales for March, April and May. Interest rate will impact on how close predictions are for the remaining months of 2007. An increase of which will undoubtedly reduce the number of sales each month.
Using the adjusted average of sales (explained below) I am making my predictions for the remainder of the year. January through June are givens, since the data was already in the system. No risk there. July through December are the challenges. Read the rest of this entry »
