Gary.. It is all in the eye of the beholder and occupant. You can have next to nothing as far as a home, and a very fulfilled life. On the other hand you can have a castle and only be able to afford corn flakes for breakfast. So who is the one that truly has the wealth?
Nice photos. I think I would choose the quiet solitude that would come from the little cabin in the woods.
Gary - When I saw these 2 photos, just this thought came to mind. Whether we live in a shack or a castle, it's all in the state of mind. However, location is KEY. I think you just sparked a candid post for tomorrow. Thanks for the inspiration.

Gary, I think I would like to be somewhere in between without the taxes ; )
It is all in how you think - some live in castles and are so poor in meaningful things, and others who don't have very much materially, are rich beyond all imagination.
Seems that both the tracks and shack are abandoned. There's a lot of people in castles that are equally gone. I prefer the happy medium.
Gary, give me the place in the first picture! Although right on the tracks, it is still worth more in my eyes than the sterile environment of the castle!

I'll go with the first one...less upkeep, easier payments.
