Hello my friends!

Let's say that I was one of those people that needed a little "push" from a friend to join activerain! And lets say that I was also someone that once I joined needed a little bit of good orderly direction from friends (thanks Susan Mangigian!) to realize the value in AR! Now let's say that my EYES are wide open and I feel like there's not enough space in this blog for me to convey the excitement and passion and opportunity that ActiveCamp has instilled in me!

From the moment I was greeted at the door leading to the main ballroom where the show was being presented I was welcomed by happy-raincampers that were all too excited to explain the venue, provide information and gift me with a very nice canvas activerain tote bag and other goodies!

The stage was set for an exciting informative fun filled loose environment where the only requirement was that you enjoyed yourself and walked away with tools that can only take your business with minimal effort and even less of an investment to the next level!  Ben Kinny presented a good part of the day with a cut to the point, witty attitiude he provided proven strategies and advice all day long! ActiveBob was a perfect co-host providing technical and statistical information on que. I sat in the front with a great view of all the action and was seated next Helen O'Hara from Patterson Swartz of DE and Laura Cerrano from Feng Shui Manhattan! 2 bright and amazing individuals! Lunch was equally as nice as Jonathan Washburn CEO of AR came to my table and shared some great insight on where the market is headed and how to best capitalize.

As the day moved on the second half featured an amazing Blog panel which consisted of my new friends Sheldon Neal,Cindy Jones and Patricia Kennedy. The session was the most informative for me as the information on blogging, interacting with clients and general all around insight was priceless! I videoed the talk and am in the process of figuring out how to upload it onto this site! Anyone who knows how to please email me!

The night wound down at the After-Hours cocktail reception where I had the pleasure of getting to know Sheldon Neal, Carolyn Tann Starr aka: Wordy C and Ernest Schiavone of Houlihan Lawrence. Sheldon and I discussed the amazing affect blogging has on keeping you motivated and inspired! It keeps you in the game! Sheldon explained. I agreed unequivocally. Wordy C and I took pics, laughed and shared stories about Susan Mangigian.

In closing I am on fire with new contacts, leads, ideas, inspiration and motivation! Thank you to all that made it possible and if you weren't there maybe after reading this and many other blogs about the event you will be in the future!

To,...Wecome to the great social network..Active Rain.  You are so lucky to have met some great people from AR and able to attend this rain camp.  I am hoping there will be one in Charlotte NC or perhaps DC.

Good to hear great feedback.  It's such a toss up to pull away from the business and attend conferences or to stay in the office and make 1000 calls.  This helps me determine what to plan for my pull away time this year.  Will look for an upcoming conference.

OMG! I can't believe all the comments you rainmakers are posting!!! I was on the road all day and this is my 1st opportunity to respond to this amazing community!

For the people that did attend you know how incredible and valuable the information presented was!

For the people that could not make it you clearly can see from the comments and the synergy that was created this was a tremendous event and I suspect a good many of you will attend future camps!

And for the people that were unaware of the event...Wake up! This single event will provide me with enough momentum to carry me long and far into the future with Activerain!

Thank you to all my AR brothers and sisters! And to you Wordy-C! LOOK BELOW!!!

Good luck to you, Tom!  Sorry that I didn't get to meet you - I was there, but had to leave at the end.   What an incredible day it was!  I will agree!    Next time, I will plan ahead to continue for the after party.  Sooo much information, presented in a fun way, not a slow moment anywhere in the entire day!  There is no way I will ever be able to utilize all that was presented - next Rain Camp, here I come!   I need some more repitition.........

It was awesome!

Hi Tom

I too loved every moment and i am sory i did not get to meet you.  I am new to Active Rain too...RAINCAMP was the best one day seminar i have ever attended.  Like Dagny said...no lag time, no conference yawning despite the lack of onsite coffee!

It was great to say thanks to Ben, Brad and Bob at the afterparty.  I am still in awe that Ben has only been a realtor for 4 years.  Holy cow.

I feel lucky we in the NYC area got to go to Rain Camp in January...what a way to kick off your biz plan for 2010!  Woohoo!

See you here in the rain soon!
